Weekly Friends TV Quote!

Season 1 Episode 16 TOW Two Parts, Part

ROSS: I don't know whether he's testing me, or just acting out, but my monkey is out of control. But, he keeps erasing the messages on my machine, supposedly by accident.

RACHEL: Oh, yeah, I've done that.

ROSS: And then, like three days in a row he got to the newspaper before I did and pee-ed all over the crossword.

RACHEL: I've never done that.

Tag I am it!

I know I posted my Wordless Wednesday post already, but I have been tagged by the Punky Monkeys. I am known to put MEME's on the back burner and then I forget. If you have tagged me you know this! So I am now going to participate while I wait for Princess In Training to awake from her nap.

Okay for this Meme you must post the 4th picture in your 4th folder.

This is Sassy at her Friendship Cup game. She is waiting for the game to start. It looks like she is in la la land. She isn't, just wanting to get this game started. She really is my star soccer player!

I am going to make this easy on me today... I am in a rush because Princess In Training is now awake.
So, if you are one of my hoes... and you so know who you are than you are tagged. You all know what a Meme is now so post away! Especially if you haven't posted in a while. What a great way to get your feet wet once again! I love ya girls!!

Laughter is the Best Medicine!

Princess In Training has become my serious baby. She does smile, but she does not give out her laughs freely! I have been trying to get them on video for some time, but she never laughs long enough. Angela seems to be the one that can get her to laugh with the silliest movements. This was taken last night right before "P-I-T"s bathtime!

Christmas Hangover

Well not in the sense of what hangover really means.

I mean I am on Christmas overload! I am okay with Christmas being 365 days away now! Not that I didn't enjoy every minute of Christmas, but one day is good for me!

I ate way too much and I now have to include working out to my New Years resolution. I wasn't going to, but with all the fudge, cookies, dips, chips, ham, rolls I consumed I am surprised my Christmas presents didn't include a double chin and a little cushion on the behind.

I am also ready to kick the tree to the curb. It was a very pretty tree, but that is just more room I can use for all the toys Princess In Training has received! I do have to say at least with Sassy her presents are smaller and take no space at all.

On a brighter note... "P-I-T" has officially rolled over!

I will share all my lovely Christmas pics soon!

Like a human! Well when I use the word human I mean a human that can eat real food! I am still that brainless mom, who can't think straight. Really I did get a college education... even if I sometimes don't show it!

Okay back to food.

Oh how I have missed you!

I missed you melted cheese!

I missed you potato chips!

Oh I have oh so missed you red meat... (thank you Lucille's BBQ for the wonderful Tri-Tip_

I missed you Mexican Food... (bring on the tamales Christmas Eve)

I missed you sweets!

Okay food I welcome you back into my life on one condition:
I better not see you creep up on my mid-section, ass, thighs, and waist!

Doctors Office From Hell!

I went to my post op appointment Friday to see the G.I. doctor who did my endoscopic procedure. Let's just say I am feeling a little timid about going back! Here is the play by play. My thoughts, not what I say is in ( ).

Me: I have an appointment with the Dr. at 3:45
Rec.: Please sign in and can I please see you ID and medical card?
Me: I have my husbands medical card, but I left my wallet in my other diaper bag (stupid me UGH!)
Rec: Is it the same policy number as yours?
Me: Uh yeah (Would I be giving you a medical card I wasn't a part of lady?)
Rec: Okay please fill out these forms.

While filling out forms
Rec: I want to make sure this patient is eligible. Name_______ Policy _____. Okay thanks. She is eligible
(TOLD YOU! Yeah I am going to take part in insurance fraud)

In room. Doctor comes in.
Doctor: What seems to be the problem today?
Me: I am here for a post op appointment.
Doctor: Post op?
Me: Yes (Isn't it on my chart?)
Doctor: What procedure did I do?
Me: ERCP (Uh shouldn't you know this?)
Doctor: What was the prognosis?
Me: Well the doctor that came in said that a stone either passed before the procedure or there was old bile sludge in the duct causing the inflammation of my liver.
(Are you kidding me? What kind of doctor are you?)
Doctor: Really? Let me go get your chart.
Me: Ok (Shouldn't you have already had this when you walked in?)

Receptionist comes into the room
Rec: When was the procedure?
Me: Last Monday
Receptionist leaves

Receptionist comes back in
Rec: Where was it done?
Me: St. Mary's
(Okay people... Let's get it together)
Receptionist leaves again

Doctor comes back in
Doctor: Okay the sweep was clean so it was probably a stone that passed right before we did the procedure and that is why your numbers were high.
Me: Yeah
(Didn't I just tell you this?)
Doctor: I would like you to have more blood work done in order to see that your liver enzyme numbers are still lowering and then see you back here next month.
Me: Okay
(Hmm... maybe my doctor can do this for me and than I won't have to come back and do your job for you!)

Yes this is exactly how this doctors appointment played out. A little scary I think! Not to mention the mom with her 3 kids. I am a mom, but her kids had stuffy noses and were walking around getting into every ones business. Yes kids can get out of hand, but please take charge and do something about it lady!! The people in here are very sick and don't need you kiddo germs!

Flu season + Me = germaphobia!!!!!!!!!

I Am Guilty Once Again!

Yes I am admitting guilt. We have less than a week and I am not done with my Christmas shopping!

What?! Seriously?!

Yes really! With all the ups and downs this house has gone through we have bought for one person. Yes one person! Now that I am starting to regain some form of strength I will be venturing out to the crowded malls tomorrow in hopes of getting in and getting out unscathed and all my presents bought!

So wish me luck!!

Thursday 13: My King in Shining Armor

I very rarely include blogs about the king of the throne in our household! Well lately he has gone above and beyond and I thought I would fill his ego bubble a bit and dedicate a Thursday 13 as to why he is the king of my throne!
1. He took on the role of Mr. Mom and Dad the instant I was too sick to take on my motherly duties
2. While in the hospital he never left my side and also made sure the girls were taken care of!
3. Every morning he gets Sassy ready for school while I sleep until Princess In Training wakes up!
4. Even after 8 years of marriage I still hear the words "gorgeous and hot wife" on a daily basis
5. He works at a job he dislikes just so I can stay home with the girls
6. He is passionate about his dreams and works so hard that one day they will be full filled
7. He's one of the smartest men I have ever met... it can drive me crazy at times, but who wants an unintelligent man as a husband?
8. He kicks butt at Mario Kart... no matter how hard I try to get better he still gets by me every time!
9. He will do the housework that I just don't have the energy to do!
10. He loves the Christmas Holiday, which makes us all that much more excited!
11. Can argue his point without getting angry!
12. Deals with my insanity and I know that is not a walk in the park at all!
Last but definitely not least:
13. Is the greatest father out there!! I can't believe how lucky I am to have found a husband who is as great a father as my husband is! He would do anything for his girls!

What A Week!

As you all knew I was having gall bladder surgery Monday December 8th. I did and everything seemed to be going fine. I rested and recovered after and started to feel better. Wednesday I woke up feeling like I was having a gall stone attack, which is impossible (or so I thought) since I didn't have a gall bladder. Thursday I felt better but achy. Friday I had these dull aches but kept taking my pain pills. By 10pm that night the pain was intense and was not subsiding. By 7 am Saturday morning I couldn't take it and had Eric take me to the ER. They ran tests, which showed that my liver was inflamed. A stone could have been left behind and passed on it's own or a stone tried to pass and was blocked in a duct near the liver. Both these scenarios cause a liver to inflamed. They admitted me so they could monitor my numbers and see if they went down on their own. Sunday morning we were hopeful because the numbers looked to be dropping. Monday they went up again so they decided to an endoscopic procedure where they put a scope down in your mouth, throat and they keep going down to see if there is actually a blockage. They did this and swept a balloon through to flush out my ducts. Luckily after this procedure I felt a whole lot better. My numbers started to lower and today... Tuesday I was finally released!

Being home is a relief! I missed my home and my girls so much! It was a pretty scary ordeal that I hope I never have to go through again! It is time to get back into my blogging routine here! Thank you Lord for getting me past this tough time in my life!

***For those who have read this I got my days mixed up... will happen when you're stuck in a hospital for 4 days. Sorry for the confusion! It is fixed now.***

Monday Funny!

I was going to do a different post but thought what better way to start the week with another installment of a Monday Funny! This picture comes from my own archives. This is a picture of Sassy as a baby. This is how she entertained herself in the pack and play. She would press her face against like a child would up against a window. This is one of my most favorite pictures of her first year... one of the funniest by far!!

***Today is my surgery (posted this the night before). Hoping it doesn't keep me from posting tomorrow... so if I don't you know why!! I hope to post soon as a woman with one less organ :0)***

Milestones Galore!!

I am a proud mommy and I couldn't keep it all into one Aloha Friday (don't worry I will be back next week)!

Both my girls have hit a milestone! Of course they are very different but awesome all the same!

Since Sassy is the oldest I thought she could go first! I am proud beyond words of this little lady!! She is barely into December of her 3rd grade year and you know what? She is the queen of multiplication tables! Her daddy and I quizzed her and of course we are evil parents and choose the harder ones first and boy did she put us to shame! She didn't even have to think about any of the answers! Of course she gets this from her father because if you know me you know I am mathematically challenged and that is putting it nicely!

Sassy is also growing up so fast. Today daddy took Miss Sassy to get her Christmas dress. This is a big ordeal in our household! She decided that she is too old for puffy dresses. She came home with the most beautiful grown up looking dress (very classic and not trashy, which is hard to find these days). She of course tried it on with her new shoes and boy did she look so grown up! She is sure growing up into a beautiful almost tween! I can't wait to share her pics!

Princess In Training has shown that she is very in tuned with her fine motor skills. She found her hands at 2 months, started grabbing things at 3 months and now has gotten the hang of holding her toys and bottles for more than a few seconds without letting go. Sassy was the opposite and was all about the gross motor skills. Well "P-I-T" will be 4 months on Friday and is finally attempting to roll over. I again play the evil parent and would put her on her tummy in hopes to make her so mad that she would roll over from tummy to back. Today I was playing with her and while I was telling dear hubby something I turned back and found "P-I-T" like this. From her back she moved to her side. She got stuck and couldn't decide which way to go getting frustrated and mad. Of course we thought this was the funniest thing ever and left her like this for a few more minutes to see if she could figure it out. She did roll back soon after. I was getting worried she would never even attempt to roll, because she had shown no interest in the task!

This mommy gets to end her week on a proud note! Tomorrow starts the Friendship Cup and this household is gearing up to a wonderful weekend of soccer! Monday is my surgery so I will update on the soccer games before I go in. Have a most wonderful weekend!!

Love/Hate Relationship

To my dearest gall bladder,

Our relationship together is coming to an end Monday. It has been a roller coaster of a ride and will always remember the Good:

The 55 pounds you helped me loose.
That I actually like salads without dressing
My new love for jello
My new found respect for child labor, because in the end you get a beautiful baby.

With the good comes the bad:
My dependency on pain killers.
The pain I pushed through all hours through the night while your baby gall stones blocked ducts.
The many sleepless nights while my baby slept through the night!
The Thanksgiving dinner I had to do without!
SURGERY!

As you can see the bad outweighs the good, so at 9:30 am December 8th you will be removed from my life. I am sorry to see you go, but you knew this time had to come!

Sincerely,
Your former home!

Who Needs Toys...

YWhen you have a Target bag! I had it near her feet and she would kick and kick and kick! Princess In Training loves the way it sounds! She played with it for almost 10 minutes! I know this will never stop me from buying those cute toys I see.

I am back!

After a long needed week off to relax and take care of myself and kids with colds I am back to blog! My sister yelled at me yesterday about my week off. She kept coming by to see that my day off turned into a whole week... so here I am Ashley!

Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Other than colds and my gall stone attacks it was a great weekend! Emma and Angela looked so cute in their Thanksgiving outfits! Here is a sister pic I took that night.

Sassy's soccer team made it to the Friendship Cup this year, so we are very excited! They ended the season in 2nd place! It is nice to know that Sassy has found something she loves to do and always strives to be better!

Emma will be 4 months a week from today! I can't believe how fast the time is flying! She is just so much fun! She laughs and plays with me during the day. Angela is our life saver, because she can calm Emma down no matter what! Here is a pic of Emma playing.

Next week I have my surgery, so I will try and update as much as I can next week. Eric is off all this month so I know I will be able to recover nicely! I end this post a pic of our first Thanksgiving as a family of 4!
