Weekly Friends TV Quote!

Season 1 Episode 16 TOW Two Parts, Part

ROSS: I don't know whether he's testing me, or just acting out, but my monkey is out of control. But, he keeps erasing the messages on my machine, supposedly by accident.

RACHEL: Oh, yeah, I've done that.

ROSS: And then, like three days in a row he got to the newspaper before I did and pee-ed all over the crossword.

RACHEL: I've never done that.

Thursday 13: My King in Shining Armor

I very rarely include blogs about the king of the throne in our household! Well lately he has gone above and beyond and I thought I would fill his ego bubble a bit and dedicate a Thursday 13 as to why he is the king of my throne!
1. He took on the role of Mr. Mom and Dad the instant I was too sick to take on my motherly duties
2. While in the hospital he never left my side and also made sure the girls were taken care of!
3. Every morning he gets Sassy ready for school while I sleep until Princess In Training wakes up!
4. Even after 8 years of marriage I still hear the words "gorgeous and hot wife" on a daily basis
5. He works at a job he dislikes just so I can stay home with the girls
6. He is passionate about his dreams and works so hard that one day they will be full filled
7. He's one of the smartest men I have ever met... it can drive me crazy at times, but who wants an unintelligent man as a husband?
8. He kicks butt at Mario Kart... no matter how hard I try to get better he still gets by me every time!
9. He will do the housework that I just don't have the energy to do!
10. He loves the Christmas Holiday, which makes us all that much more excited!
11. Can argue his point without getting angry!
12. Deals with my insanity and I know that is not a walk in the park at all!
Last but definitely not least:
13. Is the greatest father out there!! I can't believe how lucky I am to have found a husband who is as great a father as my husband is! He would do anything for his girls!

Thursday 13: 100th Post!

You may have noticed there was no Monday post, but I manipulated my blog so that my 100th post could be on a Thursday! I am still in shock that I have posted 100 posts! It still feels like yesterday that I started this baby! So here are my 13 things that I have learned and love about the blogging world!

1. I learned to always read and re-read my posts before publishing... grammatical errors are so last 100 posts.

2. I learned that the blogging world is more than what I ever thought it could be!

3. I learned that everyone has a style of their own!

4. I love that I get to share my princesses with my blog friends!

5. My blog friends... You are the greatest!

6. All the wonderful stories I get to read on a daily basis!

7. To not compare your style with others... we are all different and that is what makes us who we are!

8. I can always look back and recall the details of events... let's face it being a mom brings mom mush brain!

9. I get to share my princesses... yes I repeated, but hey without them there would be no blog!

10. How everything I do can turn into a great story for my blog!

11. That the blog community is so inviting!

12. How there is so much out there and I just want to learn it all!

Last but not least

13. That when the princesses are older I have these stories to share with them!

Thursday 13: Why I love being a mommy to my Princess In Training!

This morning I woke up not feeling good, so this Thursday 13 is going to be 13 things I love about my new baby girl! I did this when she was born, but after 6 weeks there are new ones. I replied to a post on one of my groups on cafemom and wrote 10 things, so I will just have to add 3 more.

1. When the bottle nipple touches her lip her mouth opens and she shakes her head side to side until the bottle nipple finally gets all the way in!
2. Her smile! It is the best thing to see every time!
3. Her frown... It is just too cute!
4. How she loves the plaid print on her bassinet... she will coo to it! We call it her plaid friend!
5. All the noises she makes, especially the grunts she makes when I PICK her up... because it is such hard work for her!
6. Her perfect round head that fits in my hands still!
7. That when I talk she will turn her head to find me!
8. That I can soothe her faster than daddy! Before I know it this one will prefer him too!
9. How everyday she changes and I get to experience them all! The joys of being a SAHM!
10. (this was said by a friend and so true to all) How she loves me unconditionally and that when I hold her and she stops crying I know that I make her feel safe!
11. She tests my patience in a whole new way and I am winning!
12. That I am entrusted by God to be her mom and teach her what she needs to know in life!
13. And my most fave thing is that she is already bonded to her big sister! She knows her voice and loves when her big sis reads her stories! I can see Princess In Training just looking up to her big sister when she is 8 and Sassy is 16 (so scary to think, but also can't wait)!

Thursday 13: Emma

I am going to quickly get this in before Miss Emma awakes. This Thursday 13 is all about her and what I absolutely love about being a mommy to my Emma!

1. She fits right into this family perfectly.
2. She will sleep a full 3 hours at a time! (Mommy loves this!)
3. She sleeps wherever I put her without waking or fussing.
4. When she is awake she will find the different noises.
5. She only cries when she has a dirty diaper, or hungry.
6. She knew Angela's voice the moment she was born.
7. She makes noises in her sleep when she is about to fart or poop... what I call her butt explosions.
8. She is a great eater and got rid of that jaundice without effort!
9. She will sleep through all noise no matter how loud.
10. Right away I knew she completed my family!
11. She stays awake for an hour to 2 at a time during the day being so alert!
12. She fit right into my night time routine of watching Friends with no problem
13. That the moment I saw her I couldn't believe how in love with her I was!

Okay while I was away having Emma I was tagged for a Meme and got my first blog award (THANKS JAIME!!). I want to post about both but as you can tell I need to find the time. I definitely will be writing things before hand from now on.

Thursday 13 and then some!!

Before I get my feet wet with the Thursday 13 here is a bit of an update!

My doctor's office called today to tell me that a lot of his patients have had their babies so my c-section time has been moved to 7:30 am. I am so happy that it is so much earlier! I don't have to sit and think about the unknown! I now get to just get up and go!! So I hope to have the stats and a pic of Emma sometime tomorrow, since I am now in the know of how to blog through text messaging!! THANKS JAIME! So stop by tomorrow night! If I don't get a chance than Saturday is a definite!

Now to the Thursday 13! Since, my baby girl turns 8 on August 11th and I don't know how much I am going to be able to post when I get home I am dedicating this installment to my first princess!!

This Thursday 13 is a countdown to what makes my princess so unique and the best daughter ever!! There were so many I wrote down so even though I have 13 there are so many more out there!!

1. No matter what she will wake up in the morning with a bright smile on her gorgeous face!
2. The way she will come up to you out of the blue and ask for a kiss and hug!
3. That she could be wearing a dress/skirt and some boots and still keep up with the boys when playing football/kickball.
4. How she always wants to compromise so that everyone is happy!
5. She will want to say a prayer out of nowhere!
6. That when she wants to learn something new she gives 110%!
7. When she hears big words she tries to use them whether she uses them right or wrong!
8. How she loves having mommy/daughter nights and cuddle with a movie and and popcorn.
9. That she knows that playing with boys is sometimes easier than putting up with girls and their drama (yes there is drama in the 2nd grade)!
10. How she can take a thought so simple and make it into something so much bigger!
11. That she has her own sense of style and doesn't care what others think about it!
12. That when you look into those beautiful green eyes you can see a lot of future aspirations and dreams just waiting to be fulfilled!!
13. That she already loves her baby sister so much that she already wants her sister to have so much more!!

Today is my last day as a mom of one! I have had a great 8 years of hanging out with my sassy princess! I am going to miss these times, but am so looking forward to seeing her with her little sister! I have been so emotional these last couple of days just thinking about it! This is my last post before Emma will be here, so stay tuned and have a wonderful weekend!!

Thursday 13: Rachel's Pregnancy

So if you know me well enough you know that I am obsessed with the tv show Friends. I have all 10 seasons on DVD and I watch one every night! I kick butt at the trivia games. On my Myspace page my headline is always a Friends quote that has to do with my life at the moment. Well in honor of my pregnancy I compiled my favorite quotes from season 8 when Rachel was pregnant. We all can relate, but hers were just comedy!!
1. Rachel: Hey! y'know sometimes you can do everything right, everyone can wear everything they're supposed to wear and one of those little guys just gets through!
( I relate to this with both my pregnancies... take out condoms insert birth control)
2. Rachel: Okay Ross come on let’s just forget about the condoms.
Ross: Oh well I may as well have!
3. Monica: You're supposed to wear a costume!
Rachel: I am! I am a woman who spent a lot of money on a dress and she wants to wear it, because soon she won't be able to fit into it.
(Don't we all feel this way when we find out we are pregnant?)
4. Joey: Hey, Rach listen, did you know that during pregnancy your fingers swell up to twice your size and never go back?
Rachel: Oh my,... God! Let me see that!
Joey: You fall for it every time!
(Us pregnant women had wild imaginations)
5. Pheobe: Yeah! And look see how they expand as the baby grows? And then after the baby is born they're great for shoplifting melons.
(I am still looking how to transform preggo pants into post pregnancy pants)
6. Rachel: I have a hint of morning sickness and I am wearing underwear that goes up to about... there.
(picture her snapping her underwear under her breasts)
7. Rachel: Aw! It's unbelievable! Wow! She is kicking so much! Oh she's like umm... oh... who's that kind of annoying girl soccer player?
Joey: Mia Hamm?
Rachel: Mia Hamm!
(Don't we say this with all our in utero kickers?)
8. (watching a birthing video)
Chandler: Wait you guys look!
Rachel: What? Did her ass explode?
Chandler: No, the baby's out! Look! And look how happy the mom is now!
Monica: Oh! Rach!
Rachel: Oh screw you guys. You don't have to do it!
(I at least feel this way when women who have never pregnant try and give advice!)
9. Ross: Did you get a fresh batch of pregnancy hormones today?
(I want to slap people when they say this sort of thing!)
10. Rachel: What?! It goes 10 times a day! What are we feeding this baby? Indian food?
11. Rachel: That's right still no baby. What's the matter? Is the puffy sweaty pregnant lady disturbing your precious coffee time?
12. Rachel: Just think of me as a ketchup bottle, y'know you sometimes have to bang on the end of it.
(Oh yes... I will try anything to go into labor!)
13. Doctor you gotta do something! I think you gotta give me drugs or you gotta light a fire up in there and just smoke it out.
Here is my Thursday 13. I added some thoughts under some quotes, but some seemed pretty self explanatory. I will try to come up with another topic for next weeks Thursday's 13 Friends edition! With this baby on the brink of her arrival I hope I have the time to do this!

Thursday 13: The big dreamer!

So I have been saying I was going to do a Thursday 13 for some time now! So here I am FINALLY getting around to it.

So the other night (when I do most my thinking and writing) I started thinking about all the dreams I had growing up. As children we grow up with all kinds of dreams that we want to accomplish! Sadly as time goes on we become more mature and our dreams start to diminish and soon we are left with one. Well here are 13 dreams I once had growing up.

1. Teacher: This dream started when I was in kindergarten. When Mrs. Collins asked what I wanted to be when I grew up I told her... teacher. This dream I almost accomplished. I do get the chance to substitute which is almost full on teacher!

2. Get married and have grand wedding: This one I can check off as DONE! I was your typical girl who dreamt my wedding by having my barbie and ken doll playing the part! It always turned out to be a splendid day! I may have had a small wedding but it was grand to me... plus I got me the pick of the litter in the hubby department!

3. Have babies: This is another one I can check of as done! I have two babies that I get the oppurtunity to be the mother of! I love my girls more and more everyday... even the one who is still cooking!!!

4. Rock star: Now who hasn't dreamt this? I would crank up the music and sing and dance away. The world was my stage. I started to loose faith in this dream around high school!

5. Supermodel: Never thought this one until the end of high school. I had the height and my family used to tell me that I would be great at it. Well Angela can along and that dream poofed into thin air (I do not regret that in the least)

6. Marine Biologist: In 10th grade I was a part of the Ocean Odyessy program and the thought of being out in the ocean and studying the wild life seemed fascinating! Well I had a class in about the physical aspects of the ocean and was turned off. I am happy to say that my Angela has said that this is what she dreams of being. Bet your sweet butt I am keeping this one going!

7. CPA: Well for this one I had dollar signs as my pupils! The money that could be made intrigued the hell out of me. I wanted to that big wig accountant for an international company. Well one really horrible accounting teacher in college blew the flame out of that dream!

8. Real Estate Agent: While in college I had thoughts of dropping out and taking the easy way out but becoming a real estate agent and making moolah that way. I thought I could take care of my family and the hubby could stay home with Angela... I mean wouldn't I be the best wife ever. I do kick my self in the butt at times, because a few years later the market soared and some lucky souls maid money as if it grew on trees. Oh well things happen for a reason.

9. Flipper: Well the new buzz in real estate is flipping houses. Eric and I watch the flipping shows ALL the time! How cool would it be to buy a crappy house that needed TLC and made it the best looking house on the block. The turnaround get and the money you made could set you for the next house and then some. This dream is still there, but with the housing market taking a nose dive this one may have to stay on the back burner for a while.

10. Jewelry Designer: A few years ago my grandmother introduced me into jewelry making and beading. I took classes and had so much fun! Well Brenna (my partner in crime) and I took this idea and ran with it for quite awhile. We spent a lot of money on supplies... we didn't do cheap jewelry. We even got as far as having a business name and business cards. Unfortunately life and school happened which forced us to put the jewelry business on the back burner.

11. School Psychologist: I have always been fascinated with adolescent psychology (why I minored in Human Development) and thought what perfect way to use this skill as to be a school psychologist. Again dollar signs were there in my eyes, because there are so few school psychologists that you can contract yourself out there. Instead of pursuning this dream I took the easy way out with less schooling and stuck with Liberal Arts.

12: Principal: Well kind of like a principal. Because I very strong views on how a school should be run and how education shouldn't be taken lightly or be stressful that I wanted to open my own school. This was short lived because how does one actually open thier own school without it being religion based. I just wanted a good old private school that focused on fun ways of learning all subjects!

13: Writer: I chose this dream as my final 13 for the fact that I still plan on pursuing! I am an avid reader and am amazed at the different levels of writing out there and the amazing stories that keep me hooked till the very end. I have a couple ideas in mind, one that I started in high school in one of the creative writing classes I took! When Emma is at an age where I can go back to school I plan on getting back into creative writing classes. Not sure as to what genre I love most or want to write, but there are many out there to choose. Now if only I can get Oprah to add one of my future novels to her book club.

Here are 13 dreams that I hoped to accomplish. Some I have and some I hope to still. Think back to your childhood... what dreams did you have growing up. Think back to kindergarten when every teacher used to ask, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" Angela has already voiced many dreams and as her mom I am holding them in my hands with great care in hopes they never get crushed. I hope Angela ends up being a rock star/marine biologist/scientist/ astronaut. I hope her becoming smarter than both her parents keeps her motivated! I am biased because I hope she makes lots of money and takes care of her so ever deserving parents!!

I have to say I really enjoyed doing this Thursday 13. I have decided that my Thursday 13's will be in reference to my all time fave television show Friends. There is so much I can say about it, so why not give my readers a glimpse into my obsession!!! Hope you had a great Thursday!!
