In this house this is a big deal since The King of the house takes this seriously (in the most funnest way possible)! This season I got into it as well and now love Pau Gassol. I cannot believe she will be 2 years away from middle school. As I look back during this year my heart beams with pride at how hard she has worked! She has excelled in the subjects she always has and even in those she had the hardest. She finishes this school year bench marked a whole grade level ahead.

She just finished her Spring Select season of soccer and she also has excelled in that as well. She is so fast on the field that no one is safe. Her coaches were awesome and taught her so much! The girls were the best and they exuded togetherness! This team lost 2 games out of the regular season and 1 game during tournament play. The second tournament they finished with no goals scored on them. I am one proud soccer mom!

Where do I start with my little princess in training. The time is flying so fast that I can't seem to catch my breath. She gives me little time to myself which is fine since that is what she is supposed to do. She is feisty and gives you a run for your money. In 2 months she will be 1 and I wish time would stop for a while.

I am already seeing many difference between the girls at this age. Miss Sassy Pants was my quiet one who just wanted to roam and explore. Not the baby... she is all about making sure she is heard. Quiet times comes during nap time and bed time. I am lucky that the second time around brings a non-picky eater. With the way the baby whines you would think we never feed her. You know how babies like to drop food? Not her... there will be no wasting food in her eyes. She will eat almost every little bit she can find!

I know the updates are few and far in between, but I plan on giving them when I can... I will leave you with a pic.

At the Ronald Reagan Library... she is all about learning about presidents!

Keeping herself busy while out to eat... she has a creamer in her hand.Allisonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06592565183854048376noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-972334828514380626.post-41698556028068472892009-03-26T05:00:00.000-07:002009-03-26T05:00:00.767-07:00I am back... as long as I can beOkay fellow readers and followers... I cannot promise I will be around daily. If I do I will disappoint. However I plan on coming back one little tippy toe into the freezing water at a time. When I tend to start something by jumping with both feet into it and I feel the need... or obsession to do it all, know it all, and live it all. Blogging became that to me. Of course when I do this I tend to give 110% and then of course the flame is blown out and I get bored so to speak. I love writing and of course writing about myself and the loves of my life. Blogging is that outlet and I really want to get in the groove, but SSSLLLOOOWWWLLLYYY. I also need to remember that I don't need to be involved in it all and that it is ok. I am a go big or go home person and then I tend to lose umph so to speak.

There is so much to share... some good, some not so good, but we are doing well all the same! The princesses are growing so fast. Miss Sassy is excelling in soccer and I couldn't be prouder! She always does her best and what more could a mommy ask for? The baby is 7 and a half months and the scooting queen. Being mobile is a great milestone and one you could wait for! I love seeing her gain new milestones, but now we have to be more "aware" of her surroundings.

The King of the house has left At&t after about 12 years of working there. These are bad times and luckily he was able to leave with a great type of severance package and 6 months of medical! It was either that or relocate to 2 extremes and we all know that wasn't going to happen. Eric is optimistic and as his wife so am I! I have faith that he is leading our family in the right direction no matter what happens.

That is my life in a nutshell so far. So to my loyal readers, thanks for sticking around!Allisonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06592565183854048376noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-972334828514380626.post-17758272990325149482009-02-24T07:44:00.000-08:002009-02-25T16:41:40.433-08:00Has it been 6 months already?Today I thought I would keep it easy on me and share a video of "P-I-T" talking. I know she doesn't know the meaning behind the noises she makes, but a parent can dream can't she?

A little background on the video. When she would say dada I would look at her say "mama". She would just look at me and say dada. When I did this on film she actually made the mama sound. Well that was a one time deal because it hasn't been done again.

Allisonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06592565183854048376noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-972334828514380626.post-15573388343943622772009-02-23T05:00:00.000-08:002009-02-23T05:00:00.712-08:00Am I seeing a GhostYou can stop rubbing your eyes... you vision is just fine... My second breast infection was so bad that I had to get in for an ultrasound right away. The only opening was at a center dedicated to breasts with a specialty for breast cancer. When I walked in I see many different age groups... some old, some middle aged, some even younger than me. I focused on the book I was reading because it was really hard to see the looks on some of these women's faces. I finally get called back and they have me change. When you are done you sit in another waiting room. In this waiting room were women waiting for surgery. I know it isn't for plastic surgery, so my mind is just racing and praying for them. I couldn't imagine what these women are thinking, what they are going through. My stake in this is for those women who don't have a cure yet! My stake is for those women sitting in a hospital room sick because of chemo. My stake is for those women who are fighting for their life so they can stay with their loved ones!

So, my goal is not one I made lightly, my goal is made for me to help change the world!

If you would like to find out more go to the Breast Cancer 3 Day website. Training Day 1I am still getting over this sinus/allergy cold thanks in part to the lovely California weather. Don't get me wrong I love how I can wear a tank top, jeans, and flip flops in the middle of winter, but the dry hot again, cold again weather is wreaking havoc on my sinus cavities. I thought I was on the verge of no more congestion, but I awoke this morning with a lovely stuffy nose. I am just thankful that I am not contagious.

Today embarks the start of my training. I hope there is not a such thing as being over prepared, because technically I could wait until May 17 when I would follow the 26 week training plan given by the Breast Cancer 3 day organization. To get me to May 17th I plan on doing my 4 mile walk slim DVD that I have started to do at home already. Of course there is some jogging, or "boosted walking", but hey at least it will get me moving.

Now if some of you are wondering if there is a walk near you head over to Breast Cancer 3 Day site <--- click. You can register as to be part of a team, or as an individual walker like myself. You can even register and volunteer as a crew member and help out with the walk. If you would like to donate and help me on my way to my goal then go to my profile page <--- clickAllisonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06592565183854048376noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-972334828514380626.post-20495965058784765442009-01-19T00:00:00.000-08:002009-01-19T00:14:29.341-08:00Monday Funny and A Good Cause!Today's funny is for those moms who have crazy GNO's (girls night out)!

Two women friends had gone out for a Girls Night Out, and had been decidedly over-enthusiastic on the cocktails. Incredibly drunk and walking home they suddenly realized they both needed to pee. They were very near a graveyard and one of them suggested they do their business behind a headstone or something. The first woman had nothing to wipe with so she took off her panties, used them and threw them away. Her friend however was wearing an expensive underwear set and didn't want to ruin hers, but was lucky enough to salvage a large ribbon from a wreath that was on a grave and proceeded to wipe herself with it. After finishing, they made their way home. The next day the first woman's husband phones the other husband and said, "These damn girls nights out have got to stop. My wife came home last night without her panties." "That's nothing," said the other. "Mine came back with a sympathy card stuck between the cheeks of her butt that said, 'From all of us at the Fire Station, Well never forget you!'

*******************************************************************************
I said long ago that I want to participate in the local triathlon. That was before the whole gall bladder debacle. Well that put a hindrance on the training, so that goal fell short. I now have a new goal and I need all the help I can get!

What is the new goal?

I am going to participate in the 3 day breast cancer walk in San Diego, Ca. I have registered and I begin my training this week. The walk is November 20-22 so that gives me 44 weeks to train for 60 mile walk. In these 44 weeks I must raise $2,300. So, I am reaching out to the blogging community in my help for a great cause! I am new to this so if you have any tips I would love to know how to get donations! If you would like to donate I would be forever grateful! Any amount would be awesome! My goal is to at least raise $230 a month. When you put it that way it doesn't sound that bad.

Stop by my profile page:
It is a work in progress!

Reasons to donate!
You are breast cancer survivor
You know someone who is a breast cancer survivor
You know someone that was taken because of breast cancer
You want to ensure a cure for your future
You want to ensure a cure for you daughter's future
You want to ensure a cure for everyone out there

This cause effects everyone out there so if you give you are giving for a great cause! My favorite part Cosmo Confessions! I just had to include it as a Monday Funny so enjoy!

"After and abnormal pap, I went home to show my mom a pamphlet about cervical issues. When she finished reading it, I stuck it in my back pocket. Later, I decided to take my younger brother out for ice cream. We picked our flavors and walked around looking for a table where we could eat. Then we drove to a gas station to fill up the car. When I got out and went over to the pump, my brother said, 'Would you please just take that pamphlet out of you back pocket? I'm sick of looking at it.' A small portion of the flyer was sticking out of my back pocket-the only words that were visible were your cervix. I'd spent the entire afternoon advertising that on my butt"

As a special treat here is another confession for you to enjoy...

"I work retail. During my shift, I was at the register when a preteen boy came up and put some clothes down on the counter. I'm required to tell customers about our fragrances, so I asked if he needed any new cologne. I rang him up and told him the total, at which point he gave me a credit card. I was surprised that the name on it was a female one. I asked if it was his mom's. He handed me an ID, and when I looked at it, I realized my embarrassing mistake: It had been a woman I'd been ringing up the whole time. My face flushed, and I stumbled over words as I tried to make a pathetic excuse for the mix-up."

Thank you Cosmo for letting us start the week on a brighter note... maybe not for them, but we will enjoy them!Allisonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06592565183854048376noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-972334828514380626.post-90046275066275911612009-01-09T07:05:00.000-08:002009-01-14T22:38:22.243-08:00Quick PostDidn't get a chance to write my post last night, so while I have 2 free hands for the moment I thought I would just post a video I have taken of my Princess In Training.

Allisonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06592565183854048376noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-972334828514380626.post-62685875492472009232009-01-08T00:00:00.000-08:002009-01-14T22:42:42.480-08:00Time Flies!Princess In Training is 5 months old today! I would wish for her to start crawling, but not going to do that just yet!***Allisonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06592565183854048376noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-972334828514380626.post-1233392355692089562009-01-07T05:00:00.000-08:002009-01-14T22:43:56.048-08:00Wordless Wednesday: Princess in Training in her 80's outfit!

*** see those leg warmers? What is a typical male species? One that will watch any sporting event that is on TV. You name it dear hubby will watch it basketball, baseball, golf, soccer, Hockey, football (there are many more)... and with most he will watch the pros and college. If we are out it will be DVRd. If he knows the score he will still watch it.

He does have those favorite teams he just can't miss:
NBA: LA Lakers
NHL: LA Kings
NCAA: UCLA
MLB: LA Dodgers
NFL: Carolina Panthers

Even if the team sucks there will be no band wagon jumping in this house. He is a true fan through and through.

Now for me or maybe most women, teams I think are chosen differently. Here are a couple ways I choose a team.

1. Uniforms: if it is appealing to the eye I will keep looking. I love the Panthers and their colors.

2. Players: If they are appealing to the eye... makes it a whole lot easier to watch. Oh and don't forget all that ass smacking... so many butts so little time!

3. Player Names: I love giving nicknames... on UCLA ABOYA translates to Ma Boya ( I do miss MBAH A MOUTE or Ma Bootay)... Pau Gasol translates to POW. I mean how cool would it be to have these names on a jersey. In honor of my best friends favorite player... Lofa Tatupu on the Seahawks: Tapoopoo.

Men may read this and shake their heads, but hey I am a woman. There is no explanation to my madness!Allisonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06592565183854048376noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-972334828514380626.post-63207595080767683822009-01-05T05:00:00.001-08:002009-01-05T05:00:00.653-08:00Monday Funny! It is time to for a Monday funny once again! Maybe she is teething or going through a growth spurt, but my lucky stint of blissful sleep has come to an end!

For those who were jealous you have every right to point that finger and laugh. I deserve it for all my bragging! :0)

We have officially moved on to food. To some 5 months (or will be on the 8th) may be a bit young, but she showed all the signs. She shows me when she is done eating... or drinking. She watches you like a hawk when you eat and actually gets mad if she is not included. She sits up pretty well with minimal help. When I say help I mean you better be ready for her teetering.

My Sassy Princess has found a new love! Her new love is Harry Potter. No not the movies... been there. I am talking the books. She is reading the first one. This is a great big milestone, because one... she is reading books that I love even as an adult and two... she can't put it down! This will be the first non picture chapter book she will read. In about 3 days she has read 60 pages. It is a big deal to a 3rd grader who rather be riding her new skateboard, or be next door playing with her friends. I was starting to think that I would have to work harder with Emma to finally get my one child who reads like her mommy... I mean I never leave the house without a book.

These changes are taken with wide open arms! Even the lack of sleep!Allisonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06592565183854048376noreply@blogger.com0
