Weekly Friends TV Quote!

Season 1 Episode 16 TOW Two Parts, Part

ROSS: I don't know whether he's testing me, or just acting out, but my monkey is out of control. But, he keeps erasing the messages on my machine, supposedly by accident.

RACHEL: Oh, yeah, I've done that.

ROSS: And then, like three days in a row he got to the newspaper before I did and pee-ed all over the crossword.

RACHEL: I've never done that.

I Am Guilty Once Again!

Yes I am admitting guilt. We have less than a week and I am not done with my Christmas shopping!

What?! Seriously?!

Yes really! With all the ups and downs this house has gone through we have bought for one person. Yes one person! Now that I am starting to regain some form of strength I will be venturing out to the crowded malls tomorrow in hopes of getting in and getting out unscathed and all my presents bought!

So wish me luck!!

Wii Fit Baby!!

Halloween night my dear sister let me in on some early information that the Targets in my area were getting a shipment of Wii Fits on Sunday morning. I called Saturday to make sure and found that the Target 5 minutes away would have 22 in the stores the next morning! As soon as I hung up I thought about my game plan. Do I show up right when the stores open hoping that no one knows my secret or do I get there early so I can be first in line? I chose the latter because I wasn't going to take any chances. Paying more than what Nintendo was selling it for was not an option!

Sunday morning I got up and dressed in record time, got out the door and was the first one in the parking lot... at least first customer. Once I saw a car pull up I was out and near the doors. Well the lady that was coming forgot to change her clocks and was an hour early to do some shopping. An hour into my wait people started coming and waiting with me all the while I was thinking who leaked the info? Well Target let the masses know through the ad in the Sunday paper and boy did the masses follow! All in all it was a great time... I met a few people worth meeting! When 8 am came Angela was ready to sprint to the electronics. When the doors opened boy did she run! I won my battle and got my wii fit!

With all the hype I was worried I would be disappointed, but Nintendo does not! Move over Hubs because I have a new love of my life! Who thought video games could help you workout? It works on strength building, Yoga, aerobics, and balance. It tells you whether you are doing it right. My favorite so far... the Hula Hoop! Sadly Angela kicked my butt! I think I am going to forbid her from using it... there is no way I am going to get shown up by an 8 year old! I am finding a new love for Yoga and finding that I always did squats so wrong!

If you haven't purchased the Nintendo Wii you must get in with the times! Nintendo is geared more towards kids, and who could go wrong with moving around while playing video games! I sweat every time I play! If you haven't played Mario Kart you must, because you will be hooked! Who wouldn't like racing loved ones while pelting them with red shells, or waving good bye as you soar by using the bullet! There is no need to worry about games where killing and gore are the appeal!

Angela and I give the Nintendo Wii and the Wii Fit 2 thumbs up! Worth every penny!!

Dilemna Diverted

Today I was on a mission to get a new phone, because with impending labor I needed a phone I could depend on! Well Eric and I got ready this morning and headed to the Apple store at the South Coast Plaza (more on the mall of malls!!). This morning I was thinking iphone, because we feel they will only get better. Well we walk a mile to the store (not kidding on the walk) and there is a LONG line for people to get the phone. Well with not a whole lot of time we walk the mile back to leave. On the way to our car I tell Eric that I want to go to the At&t store just to look and see 1. If they have any more iphones and to actually check out the LG shine. On the way home I am discussing my dilemna with Eric out loud going over why I like the iphone and what I actually use when I have my iphone. As we pull up to the store I have kind of been swayed back to the LG shine... Indecisive I know. I walk on and we ask just to ask if they have anymore iphones... and No they are out. I play with the LG shine they have on display and I fell in love at first sight, yes at first sight. So, that is the phone I got. If you care here is why I made this decision:
1. I rarely go on the internet on the phone... we are wasting money on a data plan since I don't use it.
2. The new iphone may have 3g capability making the internet faster, but it drains the battery fast... I hate having a phone that has a fast draining battery.
3. I don't listen to my ipod on the phone
4. I don't go on youtube
5. I use a paper calendar and not the one on the phone.
6. There is no MMS which sucks when everyone sends me these messages and I have to log in online just to see what they sent.

So in actuallity I am not using the phone to the fullest extent it should be used. I used email on the phone, and I now have it on this Shine as well. I can make personal ringtones, which I love to do on this new phone as well. The best part of the phone... I have a battery that will last me and it won't freeze, and I have a bluetooth YAY!!! I can talk on the phone in the car if I have to WOO HOO!!!

Okay now onto my trip to the South Coast Plaza. This was the first time I had ever set foot into the mall and man was I impressed. The mall is HUGE and my kind of mall. I did feel out of place because I had no make up and just threw on my capris and a Target tank. My flip flops look like they have been through the ringer. I am the epitamy of fashion right? Eric better come into some money, because when I get my post pregnancy body back he is in trouble. The one downside to the store is that they do not have a White and Black store. Other than that I was in shopping heaven. How do I go back to the local malls when I have stepped into the mall of all malls. I know there are better ones out there, but I have yet to visit them!

Hope your weekend is starting to be a great one! I hope tomorrow will be the best! So stay tuned for my story about my Baby Shower day! Woo Hoo!

Angela the social butterfly!

Angela moment number 1:
So the start of my afternoon with Angela home consisted of her watching a movie while I napped. Yes, I nap while my daughter is watching tv... I gotta do what I gotta do to get some sanity back for the rest of the day! Well once I wake up she wants to play with her friends, which is fine with me, because that gets her out of my hair and I can get things done. About a minute later she comes in and tells me that they can't play, because they got in trouble the day before and this was their consequence. I told her, "See if you don't listen you get the same consequence." She agreed, because it has happened. Well later on I tell her no tv until dinner (I need quiet time). She asks if she can play video games... I again say no, because it is time for the tv to be off. Under her breath, with her back to me she says "You are just being mean." I ask her "What did you say?" She proceeds she didn't say a word and I then repeat what she said. She goes, "You are hearing things." I tell her that for lying to my face you are not allowed to play outside and I send her to her room. Now if she would have copped to it, it would have been a 7 minute timeout (thanks Supernanny). As we are playing Mario Kart later that night together (some one on one time, since mommy can't run and play like I usually like to do). She decides to be on another team, so she can win (using the computer players to help). I am in fact winning and jokingly say, "I bet you wish you were on my team"... well she interupts me and said "Are you saying I am stupid?" I look at her and tell her, "You know that is one of the words I WILL NEVER call you." She then says, "I guess I am the one hearing things." Man was I in stitches!!

Angela moment number 2:
This summer is going to be a busy one for my princess. She will have swimming lessons, science camp, a trip to San Fransisco (with MIL), Sea World, OC fair, Baby Shower, Emma's arrival etc.

When I send her to her room she counts her money and asks how much a plane ticket costs. I am thinking, Wow I just made her so mad she wants to run away. No, she wants to buy her own ticket to San Fran... so cute! I tell her it is about $100... too much she says, because she has counted only $12. Well than she asks to go to Rite Aid down the street. I ask why. She first says to get a journal... This girl has a ton of diaries. I tell her this and she says... not that kind the kind you write down what you have planned. She says I have so much to do this summer that I need to keep track. I tell her I will get one at Target (a lot cheaper). She just can't wait so she makes her own until I can get her one. My daughter the planner!!

Well I just had to tell my Angela stories for the day... Oh and can someone answer this for me? Why is it you have one thing you need to get from Target and you end up walking out with an armload of stuff? Eric and I walked in to get a calender for Angela (cost us $2 mind you) and we walked out with about $60 dollars worth of stuff. This a mystery I will never solve
.
Have a GREAT Tuesday... come back tomorrow (if you have myspace, cafemom, or belong to the playgroup I am a part of I will leave a message), because I will be sharing the 3D/4D ultrasound experience! I cannot wait!!!

Spoiled Spoiled!

I am first to admit that my Angela is one spoiled sassy princess! I don't say brat because she always appreciates the gifts she gets! Today I went shopping for some last minute items for my trip Friday. I but 3 items for myself and in return about 10 for my dear daughter. Before you say... "What in the world?" let me say that 6 were summer work books (Language Arts, math, writing, reading (fiction), reading (non-fiction), spelling and grammar). I may have over done it, but with the struggling we went through in 2nd grade I am making sure my little one is prepared. So I figure 20-30 minutes a day wouldn't hurt... excluding Saturdays and Sundays. 3 of the gifts were books... two from the Magic Tree House series and the first Box Car children. I read these when I was around her age and had to share this with her. I did buy her a new summer top... I couldn't resist it was just too cute! Everytime I go shopping I have to stop myself from breaking the bank on my dear daughter. Now I am adding another little girl to the mix... man am I in trouble!!

So I leave in 2 days to Sacramento to see Phantom of the Opera. Is it sad that I want it to come and go quickly, so I can be safely back at home? I hate flying... I know I am a broken record, but I do! I hate the fact that there are thousands and thousands of feet of nothing between me and the ground! I know that there is more of a chance of crashing in a car than on a plane, but I still hate it! Eric just tells me to relax and have fun! One of these days I will listen to him. I did get 2 books today so I will make sure I am prepared. You would think I was going on a 12 hour plane ride when in reality it is about a 2 hour one if that. Who knows what will happen when I actually go on my dream trip to Greece!

Have a Happy Wednesday!!

Mommy~Daughter Saturday!

Yesterday I decided that my sassy princess and I would have a mother~daughter day! I didn't want to stay in the house all day, so Angela and I got ready early and had great day. First on our stop was getting mani/pedi's. As you can see in the picture above my sassy princess gets very relaxed when she gets her nails done! This is the 3rd time she fell asleep at the nail place. The owner tells me I am not allowed to come in without her, because of this! While I was waiting for Angela to finish I had the best idea to go and register for Emma. I was going to wait till Angela was out of school, but since I was out I thought today would be perfect. My mom even came with us. So our next stop was Baby's R Us. Angela was in charge of the scanner... man that girl can scan! We picked some wonderful things for little Emma. I even scored on some clearance clothes! Four outfits for under 30 dollars... SCORE! We then went to lunch at Lucille's, which got our energy hopping for a trip to Target. I registered here as well... mainly for the stuff that I thought was too expensive at Baby's R Us. Last on our stop was a trip to my grandparents. It is always wonderful to see them! Angela had so much fun playing with thier dogs as well! We had a great time being girly and doing what girls like best.... shop (we did fit in shopping too)!
Now all I need to do is plan the baby shower, or should I say help. With all the people kind enough to want to be involved who knows what I will be able to do :0)! This will be a great party to celebrate my little Emma!
I cannot wait to share Emma's pictures from the 3D/4D ultrasound we will have done on June 4th! I cannot wait to see what my princess looks like!
I am trying to write as much as I can now, because I am going to have a busy next few days, so let's see what do I need to blog about before I go...
Oh yes... I want to stop and remember a vetran of the army, who passed away January 21, 2008... My grandfather Burton Ballew! Not a day goes by where I don't think about him! I was always so fascinated by his army days. He was in WWII and saw a lot of stuff in Europe. He was also injured while fighting for his country. This injury over time got worse and worse and he had to live with migraines on a daily basis. He loved his family! You could never walk by him without recieving a kiss and a hug. The one thing I miss the most about him is the smell of his pipe. I may not care for smoking, but this smell I loved. Everytime I smell something similar I remember my grandfather! I know he is up in Heaven pain free and watching over his famly!!!
I LOVE YOU GRANDPA!!
