1. Today is my birthday and even though it is just another day for me... Being sick on my birthday is never on my list on things I want to do.

2. I am finding myself way more patient with Miss Princess In Training.

3. I am scared of the flu. I would put my house in a bubble and not leave till the flu season is over.

4. Shopping is a drug! Even buying what I need is enough to do it.

5. My marriage is one that keeps getting better. The first year was the worst, but now we are soaring through the skies on cloud 9.

6. I am living vicariously through Sassy and her soccer abilities! I would honestly be crushed if she wanted to stop!

7. I have no desire to be pregnant ever again... I love babies, but pregnancy doesn't suit me at all.

8. Being a SAHM is the best job I could have ever had!

9. I wish I had more time to read. I have so many books waiting. It is taking me a month to read the one I am right now.

10. I believe being a mom is the greatest gift that many take for granted! Everything we do will shape our children... good or bad. '

I know I am supposed to give this to 7 bloggers, but I am in sick... medicine head land. Was a challenge just getting this blog out. I will edit it later if I get the chance and choose some blog I deem fitting for this award!

This has been one busy weekend, so I am going to start my week on a very happy note! This last week I recieved 2 awards!

Two Awards!

I haven't blogged during the weekend lately, because with soccer and the hubby being home I just don't have the time. Well you all know I was bragging about Miss Emma sleeping in... Yep still on day 0! I don't know if she is mad at me, or somehow her schedule was thrown off (doing absolutely nothing different! So, I am up at 6am on a Saturday... I am not complaining but I just want my one more hour! (A nap is surely in my future)

Since, I am up before the sun has woken up I decided to catch up on giving shout outs for the awards I have received!

My first award was given a couple of weeks ago! Jaime at Just add Laughter, felt I was deserving and I thank her deeply!!

Of course there are rules like all awards so here they are:

3. Chrysti and Karrie over at Boob Camp: I started reading their blog recently and love it! Plus they remind me of the relationship I have with my BFF! They wrote a few children's books... anyone who does this is top notch in my book as well!

I know there are only 3, but I have yet to actually comply with the rules of an award! I think I may make that my thing. Know really I have mommy brain right now... hazy, mush brain! Plus Miss Angela has a soccer game in 3 hours and has to be there in 2. Just enough time to try and I mean try to look like the woman that doesn't exude tired out mommy!

A Bittersweet Day!

I usually celebrate today with nothing but extreme happiness, except for this year. Today is my grandfather's birthday, sadly he is no longer on earth to celebrate it with us! My grandfather passed away on January 21, 2008 from cancer. I saw the whole process of his body deteriorate and this was the hardest thing I had ever had to go through. Also, throw in a pregnancy as well and you would have seen one big mess! This death was a milestone, not one I ever wanted, but one at that. My grandfather's death was the first death I had ever had to go through with someone who I was close with! I have had family members die, but none who I knew well. What hurt the most was that I was adding to the family and he was never going to meet his brand new great-granddaughter. I was very strong through the death for Sassy's sake, and used this time to console her the best I could! Sassy was so sweet that she even cried on behalf of her sister, because she would only know him through the stories we tell Princess In Training and through the pictures we show! To celebrate today Sassy, "P-I-T", and I bought flowers and took them to his grave. I had Sassy hold her sister while they were near his grave and I took what I think are the most cherished pictures I could ever have! It was such a beautiful site that I had a hard time holding in my emotions. I miss him everyday and wish nothing more that he is in heaven having the time of his life from beyond looking down on us and smiling that great big smile I cherished.

Meme and a Blog Award

So I was having a hard time figuring out what to blog about today, but I have a couple Meme's to do and a blog award I need to mention! This may take me all night to finish (Thank goodness this site saves drafts), because Princess In Training is not sleeping much today. She will be 2 weeks tomorrow and I swear she already acts older than her age!


So for the first Meme... I was tagged while I was in the hospital. As I looked at it I see that the 2 Meme's I was tagged for are actually the same. I was tagged by Tena at Punky Monkeys and Carrie at Raising World Changers

1. When things are going great I sit and wait for the other shoe to drop.


2. I know kids get dirty and their hair gets messed up, but I dislike dirt and hair perfectly

staying put... Why can't kids go out spotless with perfect hair and come back spotless. I would save money on stain remover!


3. I can quote Friends with the best out there! Everything in my life revolves around this show!


4. I love stocking up on General Hospital episodes on my DVR! My favorite days are when the house is quiet and I can watch my saved episodes all day long!


5. I have a tendency to be controlling! I love things done my way. When it came to group work in school I was in charge. When it comes to cleaning it has do be done my way.


6. Last but not least: I always feel the need to pile on more than I can chew! I am a new SAHM, and even with a newborn I need more to occupy my time. I already want to go back to work some days, and go back to school! I love going to school! I have been out for a year and I am itching to go back. I know I get over stressed when I go, but I am already looking into online classes for the Spring Semester! I want to take creative writing classes and computer graphics.
