Weekly Friends TV Quote!

Season 1 Episode 16 TOW Two Parts, Part

ROSS: I don't know whether he's testing me, or just acting out, but my monkey is out of control. But, he keeps erasing the messages on my machine, supposedly by accident.

RACHEL: Oh, yeah, I've done that.

ROSS: And then, like three days in a row he got to the newspaper before I did and pee-ed all over the crossword.

RACHEL: I've never done that.

For you book lovers!

I very rarely watch Oprah, but I ended up catching last Fridays episode. She introduced this new gadget and if you are a book lover, you are about to fall in love all over again! What is this gadget you ask?

It is the Kindle... no not candle, but Kindle! What is so special about this and why would a book lover like this? Think ipod, but for books. Yes, this gadget downloads books, magazines, newspapers. The print looks just like the print you would see in a book. It is it's own mini computer, because you do not need a computer in order to use it. All you do is browse the thousands of books available, choose the book, and it downloads in minutes right then and there... in a waiting room and you need something new to read... in minutes you will have your new book! This gadget is pricey, but so was the ipod when it first came out. Yes, you buy the books, but all books never go over $9.99. Sick of all the magazines you have piled up? Download it on the Kindle. Does your newspaper always come to your door damaged? Download it on the Kindle. Reading your book and come across a word you don't know? The Kindle will give you the definition! You like to listen to music while you read? The Kindle does it. The Kindle itself can hold 400 books, but if you buy a memory card your Kindle can now hold thousands more!

No I am not one of the lucky few who now own this, but being the tech gadget freak I am, I am really aching for one! I love to read and my bookshelves are crammed with books! Yes I do go to the library to check out my books, but not all of them are easy to put in a purse or bag. Sometimes I just like to buy the book. I now don't have to find places for CD's and now I can do the same with books, magazines, and newspapers!

If you are interested in learning more go to Amazon.com!

If you were in the audience when Oprah gave these out... I am so jealous and please tell me how you like it!

The end could be nearer then we think!

So today I went into my doctors appt expecting her to have flipped back head down. Well she is still breech. He asked what I wanted to do and I told him that I really don't want to have another doctor deliver my baby. I have only been with this doctor this pregnancy, because my old doctor decided to retire... Um what was he thinking!! He told me that he will be out of town from the 9th to the 17th. Well I told him that I really want him to be the one to deliver, so he is looking into getting me scheduled for a c-section on Friday. I am not getting my hopes up because the date is 08-08-08. There are probably A LOT of people who want this day. I honestly don't care about the date, but more of having my doctor perform the c-section. I don't know the other doctors, so I really don't want someone I don't know to cut me open. If I don't get in for Friday then I will have to wait and be scheduled for the 18th... 3 days after my due date. My fear is that I will go into labor on my own and will have to have a doctor I do not know deliver Emma! So keep your fingers crossed that I can get in on Friday.

"If only there was something in your head to control the things you say." (Chandler)

So I just finished Queen of Babble Gets Hitched! I absolutely LOVED it! It was a great last book to the series! That is all I can say, because I know a few people who have yet to read it! If you haven't read the first two I suggest you read them! They are by Meg Cabot and the first book is Queen of Babble. The main character has a problem with speaking without thinking (hence the Friends quote I started off with). I highly recommend these books if you like light reading! So, now that I have finished this book I am heading back to reread... yes reread, which I never do, the 6th Harry Potter book. I figure I will not be heading to a library or book store these days (don't have the energy to go) so I am reading this in honor of the movie that will be released in November. I have that long to read an almost 700 page book.

So stay tuned later with an update! Once I hear from my doctor I will let you all know the news!

TO THE HARRY POTTER FANS!!!

The day has finally come!!! Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince's trailor has been released! I cannot wait!! The movie will be released November 21, 2008, so 114 days to go! I think I am going to reread the 6th book to look back at all the details! The sooner this movie comes out the sooner the 7th movie hits theaters! Did you know that they are going to split the book and make 2 movies to fit in all the info from the last and final installment! I was so sad when I finished the last book 2 days after it was released. I wish the books could go on FOREVER!

Can't Sleep anymore... so I blog!

I fell asleep at an okay hour last night or first thing today (was around midnight) and found myself wide awake at 5am. It is now 5:52 am and I am still not asleep. So, that being said I thought I would blog some randomness!

First off... my friend Tena tagged me for a MEME (don't know what a MEME stands for... dense I know). Secondly I do not know 5 people on here, so I will be unable to tag a single soul (sorry for being a dead end).

This MEME says to write a 6 worded memoir. I have been thinking about this for a couple days and think I have something worth writing:

Children are a gift from God!

Now onto some randomness for the preggo:

I am 35 weeks pregnant today, so that means 5 weeks till my due date! So happy it is getting closer, and I will be able to hold my baby in my arms, but nervous about the impending labor. I now see why the human brain forgets pain after some time. If we remembered pain I bet we would have a lot of one child families! Usually I am pretty strong, but lately I have been have anxiety ridden moments... mainly at night when I cannot sleep.

Today I get my new cell phone. I am a true cell phone junky! I love all the fun things cell phones can do. My other one is on the fritz (my fault) and my husband has kindly agreed that I need to get a new one. With the end of the pregnancy coming to a close I need to be able to reach the outside world without waiting for my now cell to be nice to me and actually work for once. So, if I have ignored calls or texts it is because my phone battery drains like my energy these days.

So, last night was our weekly concert in the park night. It is a time of picnic while listening to great music. Kids run around and play and dance to the music. This is a summer tradition we have had now for about 4-5 years. Unfortunately last nights good music was tainted by drama that got the park patrons all excited (not happy excited, but oh what's going on excited). Of course where we sit was a front row seating of the spectacles. First, this poor teenager was brought limping over to the Sheriffs that always come to this every week. I look down and lo and behold I see his leg covered in blood. I shriek and turn away cause I hate the sight of nasty cuts and a lot of blood. Well the paramedics and ambulance came to take the boy to the hospital... I definitely saw stitches in his future. Now what gets me is the fact that people actually crowded around the boy just to see what was going on. They didn't care about his well-being but just had to know what was going on. Get a life people! I swear all I saw was the image of Brittany Spears being crowded by the paparazzi while being taken to the hospital by ambulance.

After that excitement died down a couple of officers come walking back to their squad cars with a man who looked to be drunk as a skunk. They take him to a car and start patting him down. Well this man did not like being violated, because he started resisting them. A couple more officers come including a park patron (don't know what he was thinking) get him cuffed and in the back of the car. All of a sudden I hear pounding, look over and the man has kicked out the window of the squad car. Sheriff pepper sprays the man, which in turn aggravates him more and he turns to do the same to the other window. What he was accomplishing I have no idea. I would have loved to see him try and actually climb out of the car from the window while handcuffed. About 5 minutes later 5 more cars bolt to the scene. In my head I am thinking "How many officers does it take to get a drunken man to the station?". After all this is Lakewood and what else do the officers have to do? So, this was a nice change for them... they actually got to get in on some action.

Poor Angela freaked out over it, even though we were laughing at the situation. If you there you would have found it comical as well. Eric and I made sure to tell Angela.. "This is what happens when you drink and use drugs (they pulled something out of his pocket not sure if it was drug paraphernalia)." I hope she remembers this every time she is tempted to follow any any of those acts! What she doesn't know are my teen stories and she NEVER WILL!!! What she doesn't know won't hurt her. Let's hope this tactic works!

So I have been wanting to do a Thursday 13 related to the one thing that can free my thoughts and calm me down after a long day. This would be the show Friends. Next week stay tuned for my 13 favorite quotes from when Rachel was pregnant with Emma (like the name... coincidence I think not).

I am now going to try and get a couple more hours of sleep. HAHA not likely. I will probably end up reading my book, "Something Borrowed" by Emily Giffin. This is a great read and highly recommended!

Good Morning to all of you early risers!

MIA!!!

I just can't seem to light a fire under my butt and sit and write. I have entries in my journal for this blog, but the journal is upstairs and my lap top is downstairs. This 8 month preggo is too sore to go up and down stairs. Poor poor Angela is my fetcher! She isn't here at the moment so I can ask her to do it for me. I wanted to type something since it has been a while so here is some randomness. My in laws are now in Cancun and I am so jealous! I wish I could sit on the beaches of Cancun sipping a margarita while looking at crystal clear ocean water! I got my Phantom of the Opera movie back and can't wait to watch it! I also rented P.S. I Love You from Netflix... I love me some Gerard Butler! I had a dream last night that I could see Emma's feet while she moved around in my stomach. Then I looked down and saw that her legs were growing out of my belly. I even tried tucking her legs and feet into my pants... man the way this pregnancy brain works. I promise that I will blog more this week maybe I will remember to bring down my journal tomorrow. Oh and if someone finds the cleaning fairy out there can you tell her to stop by my place... There is so much to do and with carrying another human around I just can't seem to clean fast enough! I will give a reward if you do find her!!

Manic Monday!

What an accomplishment a blog two days in a row? With my sassy Angela eating I have a few moments to fit this in. Today I feel like an accomplished woman! I fit 2 loads of laundry in this morning before heading to work. This is a big deal since apartment washer and dryers are a pain in the ass to use! I subbed for a 6th grade class. I know half of them from my computer class teaching days. I always have so much fun with my middle schoolers! It's nice to be able to teach and still joke around with them too! I cannot wait till Thursday! I get to see my 8th graders! They are my faves (I know I shouldn't have favorites, but if you just got to know them you would love them too!)! I have one particular student who always makes me smile and laugh. He has and amazing personality (no wonder he is ASB prez).

I love this series! The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants books are so good that I seem to finish them in 2 days. I am now on my last installment and it is bittersweet! I am excited to finish the story, and yet bummed that I will not have anymore to read! I read The Other Boleyn Girl before reading the third one and had to use this series to perk me up once again. If you are pregnant DO NOT read The Other Boleyn Girl until you have that baby in your arms. I was an awesome book, but man did it put my pregnant mind through the ringer! I was supposed to read A Thousand Splendid Suns next for a book club, but my MIL told me that the story tended to be depressing. I thought after the Boleyn book I need to read something heartwarming. This girl can take only so much heartache! I am determined to read it, but I will have to wait a bit. Well here is my manic post for the day. Oh wait did I mention I actually cooked dinner... Angela was so happy to have something other than double noodle condensed soup! Tomorrow on the menu... Baked Chicken... this mom is really cookin'!
Hope y'all (that's right I said y'all)... had to insert a Friends quote in parenthesis (more to come on Friends later... I am a FREAK!!) have a great Monday, or better yet Cinqo De Drinko... I plan on drinking it up next Cinqo de Drinko! Night Night!

These are a few of my favorite things!

I am in the process of reorganizing my house in preparation for Emma's arrival. I am taking a break from the tiring, and hard work. During this break I thought I would list a few of my favorite things... As I say that I am think of the movie "The sound of Music".

1. Reading

This is one of my most favorite things to do. Even as a teenager I would bring a stack of books on vacation. I would even read them all. Back then I read Sweet Valley High books, or those R.L. Stine books. Now my taste has matured. I actually read different genres all the time. I would stay up all night reading if I could handle the exhaustion during the day!

2. Internet

This is my achillies heel! This is also why I don't read as much during the day! From Myspace, to Cafemom, to Pogo I could be on the computer for hours on end. I trully need to pull myself away from the computer in order to get things done. I will browse post after post on Cafemom and before I know an hour had gone by. Those who know me know that I would rather email and now blog instead of talking on the phone. There is another form of communication that I love, but that is for my number 3 favorite thing!

3. My cellphone

Everyone knows that I am obsessed with current cell phones. Well my most current is the iphone! I stood in line for 3 hours the day they came out, because I just HAD to have one! I absolutely love my phone. Sadly yes I there are many others I would love to try, but I am stuck with my contract for another year before I can upgrade. Now within my cell phone I love text messaging. I spend all day texting my hubby while he is at work. I was really excited when my mom learned how to, but she decided to get rid of it and save money. My phone has personalized ringtones from my fave songs, and those who I talk to most have thier own ringtone for when they call. I know I am not as bad as most out there, but I am not an average cell phone person.

This post is dedicated to the materialisic things I cannot do without. The list could go on and on, but as the title states these are just a FEW of my favorite things! OOps there goes my phone... the hubby has texted me back!!! Peace Out!!

Alone on a Friday night!

I know I have already posted today, but I am here at home all alone on a Friday night! Right now I am watching one of my all time fave movies:

I don't own it so I am watching the one have I have recorded on my DVR. It sucks, because all lot of the good parts are left out UGH!

I have also been playing a computer game called Diner dash Flo on the Go. This game is so addicting. I making myself crazy trying to pass level 40. I have let a couple people in on the game so far, and they too have fallen victim to the addiction of it.

I am reading the book The Other Boelyn Girl. Such a great book so far! I am only a quarter of the way in and need to get through it soon. I am part of a book club and I haven't started the book for April, which I guess I could be doing as I type this blog. HAHA

So, Angela is at my in laws. Emma is staying put in my womb and moving around like a monkey. I am hungry and craving El Pollo Loco, but do not want to risk my great parking spot to get it. Parking sucks at this apartment complex. DH gets off at 10pm tonight. Poor guy has been working all kinds of overtime, so that I don't have to go back to work when the school year starts again. Maybe I will have me some Spaghetti Oh's (for some reason they sound SO good this pregnancy). Well I guess I will go make my Spaghetti O's and read my book. Bon Appetit!!
