Weekly Friends TV Quote!

Season 1 Episode 16 TOW Two Parts, Part

ROSS: I don't know whether he's testing me, or just acting out, but my monkey is out of control. But, he keeps erasing the messages on my machine, supposedly by accident.

RACHEL: Oh, yeah, I've done that.

ROSS: And then, like three days in a row he got to the newspaper before I did and pee-ed all over the crossword.

RACHEL: I've never done that.

Monday Funny!

One day a little girl came home from school, and said to her mother, "Mommy, today in school I was punished for something that I didn't do."The mother exclaimed, "But that's terrible! I'm going to have a talk with your teacher about this ... by the way, what was it that you didn't do?"The little girl replied, "My homework."

**********************************************************************

As I sit here and blog about my Breast Cancer 3 Day I am thinking I never mentioned my reason why I decided to fight for this cause.

This certain day will stay with me forever! My second breast infection was so bad that I had to get in for an ultrasound right away. The only opening was at a center dedicated to breasts with a specialty for breast cancer. When I walked in I see many different age groups... some old, some middle aged, some even younger than me. I focused on the book I was reading because it was really hard to see the looks on some of these women's faces. I finally get called back and they have me change. When you are done you sit in another waiting room. In this waiting room were women waiting for surgery. I know it isn't for plastic surgery, so my mind is just racing and praying for them. I couldn't imagine what these women are thinking, what they are going through. My stake in this is for those women who don't have a cure yet! My stake is for those women sitting in a hospital room sick because of chemo. My stake is for those women who are fighting for their life so they can stay with their loved ones!

So, my goal is not one I made lightly, my goal is made for me to help change the world!

Bleh kind of day.... Training Day 1

I am still getting over this sinus/allergy cold thanks in part to the lovely California weather. Don't get me wrong I love how I can wear a tank top, jeans, and flip flops in the middle of winter, but the dry hot again, cold again weather is wreaking havoc on my sinus cavities. I thought I was on the verge of no more congestion, but I awoke this morning with a lovely stuffy nose. I am just thankful that I am not contagious.

Today embarks the start of my training. I hope there is not a such thing as being over prepared, because technically I could wait until May 17 when I would follow the 26 week training plan given by the Breast Cancer 3 day organization. To get me to May 17th I plan on doing my 4 mile walk slim DVD that I have started to do at home already. Of course there is some jogging, or "boosted walking", but hey at least it will get me moving.

Now if some of you are wondering if there is a walk near you head over to Breast Cancer 3 Day site <--- click. You can register as to be part of a team, or as an individual walker like myself. You can even register and volunteer as a crew member and help out with the walk. If you would like to donate and help me on my way to my goal then go to my profile page <--- click

Monday Funny and A Good Cause!

Today's funny is for those moms who have crazy GNO's (girls night out)!

Two women friends had gone out for a Girls Night Out, and had been decidedly over-enthusiastic on the cocktails. Incredibly drunk and walking home they suddenly realized they both needed to pee. They were very near a graveyard and one of them suggested they do their business behind a headstone or something. The first woman had nothing to wipe with so she took off her panties, used them and threw them away. Her friend however was wearing an expensive underwear set and didn't want to ruin hers, but was lucky enough to salvage a large ribbon from a wreath that was on a grave and proceeded to wipe herself with it. After finishing, they made their way home. The next day the first woman's husband phones the other husband and said, "These damn girls nights out have got to stop. My wife came home last night without her panties." "That's nothing," said the other. "Mine came back with a sympathy card stuck between the cheeks of her butt that said, 'From all of us at the Fire Station, Well never forget you!'

*******************************************************************************
I said long ago that I want to participate in the local triathlon. That was before the whole gall bladder debacle. Well that put a hindrance on the training, so that goal fell short. I now have a new goal and I need all the help I can get!

What is the new goal?

I am going to participate in the 3 day breast cancer walk in San Diego, Ca. I have registered and I begin my training this week. The walk is November 20-22 so that gives me 44 weeks to train for 60 mile walk. In these 44 weeks I must raise $2,300. So, I am reaching out to the blogging community in my help for a great cause! I am new to this so if you have any tips I would love to know how to get donations! If you would like to donate I would be forever grateful! Any amount would be awesome! My goal is to at least raise $230 a month. When you put it that way it doesn't sound that bad.

Stop by my profile page:

I received this lovely reward from Tena over at Punky Monkey's. There are rules and here they are:

Honorees are to list 10 honest things about themselves - and make it interesting, even if we have to dig deep! Second, we are to pass the award on to 7 bloggers we feel embody the spirit of the Honest Scrap.10 Honest Things About Me:

1. Today is my birthday and even though it is just another day for me... Being sick on my birthday is never on my list on things I want to do.

2. I am finding myself way more patient with Miss Princess In Training.

3. I am scared of the flu. I would put my house in a bubble and not leave till the flu season is over.

4. Shopping is a drug! Even buying what I need is enough to do it.

5. My marriage is one that keeps getting better. The first year was the worst, but now we are soaring through the skies on cloud 9.

6. I am living vicariously through Sassy and her soccer abilities! I would honestly be crushed if she wanted to stop!

7. I have no desire to be pregnant ever again... I love babies, but pregnancy doesn't suit me at all.

8. Being a SAHM is the best job I could have ever had!

9. I wish I had more time to read. I have so many books waiting. It is taking me a month to read the one I am right now.

10. I believe being a mom is the greatest gift that many take for granted! Everything we do will shape our children... good or bad. '

I know I am supposed to give this to 7 bloggers, but I am in sick... medicine head land. Was a challenge just getting this blog out. I will edit it later if I get the chance and choose some blog I deem fitting for this award!

Spring Select BABY!!

We got home from Sassy's recital and Eric gets a phone call. ***pics of the recital will be posted later... The camera is across the room... Lazy I know***

As the conversation on the phone gets started I see Eric's face light up more and more. My mind of course takes off and I am thinking...

Did we win a car, the lottery, a sweepstakes?

Nothing is getting answered in my head, because there is only one side I hear... Eric's side.

Then he goes to our fridge notepad and writes info down... I skip the name and my eyes zero on the next like... SPRING SELECT!

Yep, that is right... Sassy played so great this last season that she was hand picked into the draft. The rest is history... she was picked to play!

Sassy is so excited and the best part... her really good friend is on the team too!

So another season of soccer when we thought we had a whole year till the next one! This is one happy castle!

Wordless Wednesday: Blast from the past!

Yes that is Buzz Lightyear being decapitated in Sassy's mouth. That is how she "held" her Buzz Lightyear. Sadly she dropped him at the mall soon after.

Not my baby anymore...

Sassy has been asking to cut her hair. The first time we trimmed it but added layers. Well we have been having issues with brushing and washing, so I decided it was time. Plus she won't let me put it in a ponytail, so it is always in her face.

It makes her looks so much older! My Sassy Princess is growing up way too fast!

Monday Funny!

Today's Monday funny comes from the January issue of Cosmo. My favorite part Cosmo Confessions! I just had to include it as a Monday Funny so enjoy!

"After and abnormal pap, I went home to show my mom a pamphlet about cervical issues. When she finished reading it, I stuck it in my back pocket. Later, I decided to take my younger brother out for ice cream. We picked our flavors and walked around looking for a table where we could eat. Then we drove to a gas station to fill up the car. When I got out and went over to the pump, my brother said, 'Would you please just take that pamphlet out of you back pocket? I'm sick of looking at it.' A small portion of the flyer was sticking out of my back pocket-the only words that were visible were your cervix. I'd spent the entire afternoon advertising that on my butt"

As a special treat here is another confession for you to enjoy...

"I work retail. During my shift, I was at the register when a preteen boy came up and put some clothes down on the counter. I'm required to tell customers about our fragrances, so I asked if he needed any new cologne. I rang him up and told him the total, at which point he gave me a credit card. I was surprised that the name on it was a female one. I asked if it was his mom's. He handed me an ID, and when I looked at it, I realized my embarrassing mistake: It had been a woman I'd been ringing up the whole time. My face flushed, and I stumbled over words as I tried to make a pathetic excuse for the mix-up."

Thank you Cosmo for letting us start the week on a brighter note... maybe not for them, but we will enjoy them!

Quick Post

Didn't get a chance to write my post last night, so while I have 2 free hands for the moment I thought I would just post a video I have taken of my Princess In Training.

Thursday, January 8, 2009

Time Flies!

Princess In Training is 5 months old today! Time is sure flying by and this little princess is starting to get a little personality. Nothing is safe that is within her reach, so keep all electronics, paper, and hair away from those little hands. She now has a love for Mickey Mouse and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Forget the other Disney characters she is all about Mickey! Look out Minnie she is gunning for your man!

P.S. Thanks so much for stopping by my WW pic! I couldn't find the time to comment today, but will try tomorrow.Princess in Training is turning into velcro baby and it is hard to find time to type with two hands at the moment. Luckily she is in bed and I can get this blog out before it is time to clean and hit the hay! I would wish for her to start crawling, but not going to do that just yet!***

Sports Sports Sports

In this household you will find a typical male species. What is a typical male species? One that will watch any sporting event that is on TV. You name it dear hubby will watch it basketball, baseball, golf, soccer, Hockey, football (there are many more)... and with most he will watch the pros and college. If we are out it will be DVRd. If he knows the score he will still watch it.

He does have those favorite teams he just can't miss:
NBA: LA Lakers
NHL: LA Kings
NCAA: UCLA
MLB: LA Dodgers
NFL: Carolina Panthers

Even if the team sucks there will be no band wagon jumping in this house. He is a true fan through and through.

Now for me or maybe most women, teams I think are chosen differently. Here are a couple ways I choose a team.

1. Uniforms: if it is appealing to the eye I will keep looking. I love the Panthers and their colors.

2. Players: If they are appealing to the eye... makes it a whole lot easier to watch. Oh and don't forget all that ass smacking... so many butts so little time!

3. Player Names: I love giving nicknames... on UCLA ABOYA translates to Ma Boya ( I do miss MBAH A MOUTE or Ma Bootay)... Pau Gasol translates to POW. I mean how cool would it be to have these names on a jersey. In honor of my best friends favorite player... Lofa Tatupu on the Seahawks: Tapoopoo.

Men may read this and shake their heads, but hey I am a woman. There is no explanation to my madness!

Changes are here!

Ever since my scary hospital stay Princess In Training has not been the same. Maybe she is teething or going through a growth spurt, but my lucky stint of blissful sleep has come to an end!

For those who were jealous you have every right to point that finger and laugh. I deserve it for all my bragging! :0)

We have officially moved on to food. To some 5 months (or will be on the 8th) may be a bit young, but she showed all the signs. She shows me when she is done eating... or drinking. She watches you like a hawk when you eat and actually gets mad if she is not included. She sits up pretty well with minimal help. When I say help I mean you better be ready for her teetering.

My Sassy Princess has found a new love! Her new love is Harry Potter. No not the movies... been there. I am talking the books. She is reading the first one. This is a great big milestone, because one... she is reading books that I love even as an adult and two... she can't put it down! This will be the first non picture chapter book she will read. In about 3 days she has read 60 pages. It is a big deal to a 3rd grader who rather be riding her new skateboard, or be next door playing with her friends. I was starting to think that I would have to work harder with Emma to finally get my one child who reads like her mommy... I mean I never leave the house without a book.

These changes are taken with wide open arms! Even the lack of sleep!

A time to reflect!

On New Years Day I like to think back and reflect on the past year and think of things I hope to accomplish in the new year.

2008
Wow what a year 2008 was! Our family grew when our Princess in Training came into our lives and hearts! I never thought I would even have a second child and having "P-I-T" really tops my 2008! Sassy started to become more independent by going to her friends to play. She became a star soccer player and would do anything to keep playing! My dear husband... my King... and I celebrated 8 years of marriage! This marriage just keeps getting better and better! Last but definitely not least God blessed me with meeting 8 very special ladies! We bonded over our pregnancies and now babies that were all born in July or August! I couldn't imagine my life without them and love them all dearly! So to Amanda, Angey, Ashley, Bethany, Christina, Michelle, Sandra, and Teenie... Thank you for rocking my 2008!

2009
I plan on making this year one worthy for the books! I do have a New Years resolution... yes I have succumbed to the making of resolutions... to get back to church. I sadly admit that the last I went was exactly a year ago today. So come Sunday morning our family will be heading back! There are so many things I want to accomplish this year:
Going back to school to get a degree in Web design/computer graphics so I can go back and teach a Middle School computer class
Learn new things... like making clothes. I really want to learn to sew! I also want to try cooking new recipes. This is something I rarely do! Suzie Homemaker here I come!
I hope to be more patient in life. "P-I-T' has really helped me so far... just need more tweaking!
I wish to be in a bigger house. Our shoebox is getting cramped by the minute. We are busting at the seams and need space for our growing family!
I want to get outside more. My weakness is the computer and I need to learn that it will be there when I get the chance to use it. I love taking my girls to the park, so instead of being a hermit in the house, that is where you will find me... outside.

Putting this on here will hopefully help me stay on track!

Happy 2009! I hope it becomes a great year for all!!
